Scouring the internet for official records, particularly those that deal with an arrest record and warrant information for Hockley County, Texas, can be a time-consuming and frustrating waste of time. These records usually aren’t available online, at least not in an obvious form.
Thankfully, Texas’s state provides several resources that will make searches like this easier, but you need to know where to look. Having a destination in mind before you even begin can save you a great deal of time.
We recommend, particularly if you’re looking for current arrest warrants in Hockley County, contacting the Hockley County Sheriffs Office before doing anything else. You can find them in person at 1310 Avenue H, in Levelland, Texas 79336, or by phone at 806-894-3126.
Because the sheriff may not be able to answer all of your questions, it is important to know which state-based resources can help you out too. One of the best that we’ve found is the Offender Information Search tool from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Since it’s provided by taxpayer money, you don’t need to worry about its accuracy, and you can find it at https://offender.tdcj.texas.gov/OffenderSearch/index.jsp. It will give you information on any prisoner that you can name.
Two resources that are also useful are the Sex Offender Registry (at https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/SexOffender/PublicSite/Index.aspx ) and the Criminal History Name Search (at https://records.txdps.state.tx.us/DpsWebsite/CriminalHistory/). These are both provided by another taxpayer organization, the Texas Department of Public Health.
